Hey guys, I hope we're falling nicely into September! You know I LOVE to go on and on about nutrition/food intake and how it relates to the condition and appearance of skin. Well, there's one more very important aspect that absolutely MUST BE addressed. Disclaimer: this post is only for those 21 and older!
PUT THE BEER DOWN. THE MIXED DRINK, TOO. AND THAT SHOT OF TEQUILA.
Unless of course, you're interested in a pile of pimples on your face a few days after? Or dark spots/circles on your cheeks and around your eyes? Yeah, I thought you didn't! My poor dears, I'm so sorry to be another killjoy raining on the happy hour parade, but alcohol is LOADED WITH SUGAR. Saturated with it! You thought you could get away with those 2-3 glasses of wine and champagne that night on vacation, you thought! Unfortunately, it may set you back a few days/weeks. Do yourself a favor; if you are in the habit of having a drink a day or even a drink a week, strongly consider putting a cap on that little habit. I promise, you will notice many positive benefits. Now, no one is going to begrudge you the *occasional* glass of wine, or a social cocktail at brunch but you really can't push it past that if you want to keep that skin nice and healthy. Staying away from the alcohol is better for your internal plumbing and functioning, too...which we all know relates to your pretty face. So what are some alternatives? I personally love a good champagne/sparkling wine so instead of that, I go for flavored sparkling water. It goes a long way to help keep me happy and I'm doing myself a solid by meeting my daily required H20 intake. You can do it, too! Try it out and tell me how it works for you!
