A Word on Hydration

A Word on Hydration

Hello Everyone!

How are we all feeling today? I hope we're content and looking forward to the summer months. Today, I would like to discuss the importance of the liquids we drink. Think about a time when your skin was very clear, or broken out- what were you sipping on? Chances are, if your skin was clear you were chugging the good stuff like spring water, lemon water, unsweetened tea, green juices, etc. Conversely, when your skin was covered in eruptions it's a good chance you may have had soda, juice cocktails, excessive alcohol, sugary dairy drinks and the like in the mix. You can bet that what you drink has just as much of an effect as what you eat when it comes to getting clear, clean skin. It's okay to indulge here and there (read: a few times a year!!!!) but don't let it go beyond that. Can we attain that goal? Let's do our best because honestly, I struggle with this, but the discipline has to be set in order to see real improvements. And when you strive, you'll just be that much more motivated and enthused to keep up your hard work. Yes, skincare is hard work! It can be tough navigating the path to clear skin, there are so many variables that you may find yourself slipping. Remember, to not go above 20-25 grams of sugar per day. Drink at least 64 oz of water daily. If you can take some tea, try green tea or peppermint tea. Do your absolute best to cut coffee out of your diet, all those creams and sugars add up and you may be hurting yourself in the long run. Be sure to keep up with your Blemfree routine; whenever I'm breaking out, the cleansing spheres do an outstanding job at smoothing my skin's surface and making it softer. We can do this. We must, for our overall health and wellness. The skin is a reflection of what's going on inside, after all.

Blemfreely Yours,

Sabine
